EB03 Purple/Yellow (Rosinante) Deck Profile

Corazon got a major improvement from both EB03 and EB04 set, so now the deck is actually playable compare when the Leader got first released in OP12 set. The difference is night and day and looks like the cards are still in the rotation, so we don't have to change much when April comes for this list. Instead, we only need to worried about Block 2 being rotated out when the time comes.

EB03 Corazon

How it Works?

The downside to this build is getting our hand on P093 Law as that card definitely makes a difference to this build compare to without the promo. The main focus of the deck is playing Law as cheaply as possible with Corazon's Leader effect, so we don't really have to worry about the full cost. You also have EB03 Law who can play other Law in this build for free rather than just relying on our Leader's effect to work.

As you can see, I have mixed both Heart Pirates and DQ Pirates engine because Corazon is still a DQ Pirate card which makes some of the DQ Pirates works well in this build. If you can also reduce your DONs, it will be better as some of the cards in this build needs either less DONs or equal to your opponents in order to trigger their effects.

Ramp

The 3 main ramp cards and they are all Law so we can play these cards at a reduce cost or play them for free using EB03 Law's effect. P093 Law is a promo, but a very important promo for this build not just because of the name, but also because of the effect. Law is a 6k Blocker, so once we used the effect, we can use the Blocker ability to stop your opponent's attacks. The effect works on play, if the number of DONs is equal or less than your opponents, add 1 DON and rest it.

Corazon & Law can also be treated as Trafalgar Law or Donquixote Rosinante but for this deck, we want the Law name, so we could play this for 4 instead of paying the full 6. Corazon & Law is also another Blocker, but 8k Blocker at that, so we can even stop 7k beat stick easily. The effect works on play, if the number of DONs is equal or less than your opponents, draw 1 card. Then, add 1 DON as active. Not only we can get the ramp, but we can also draw which is very useful.

Lastly OP12 Law is our 8k beat stick and can be played for 5 instead of 7. The effect works on play, if the number of DONs is equal or less than your opponents, add 1 DON as active. Then, all Corazon and Heart Pirates Characters gains 1k DP until the end of your opponent's end phase. This card can also power up Corazon & Law since that card can be treated as 2 card names, so we could have a 9k Blocker on the field.

Searchers

We do have plenty of searchers in this build to search out the cards we need. You just have to be unlucky if you don't see any of these searchers in the build. OP09 Law is mainly to search for other Law in the build, or Gamma Knife, and with the amount of those cards in the build, it will be hard to miss unless you are really unlucky. The effect works on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal one 2 cost or more SH or Heart Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

OP12 Corazon is a searcher specifically to search for Law cards, and you can even search for 1 drop Law, to get 1 drop Law to search for other Law cards in the build. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Law and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Lastly, I am running OP10 Sugar so we could search for DQ Pirates cards, as Corazon is still class a DQ Pirates type. The effect is an activate main, so not the ideal to play on turn 1 like our other 2 searchers unless you start with 2 DONs. The effect is by paying 1 DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 DQ Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Law

Law is our main engine of the deck because of our Leader, and 2 of these cards can be played for 2 instead of 4. Although, P088 Law is mainly just for the name and 2k counter as we cannot use the Trigger effect. Most likely will be replaced if we get better Law cards we can use for Corazon builds.

ST10 Law on the other hand is mainly to go against decks with a large hand size as it seems deck these days can draw or search a lot of cards. Law is a Blocker and the effect works on play, by returning 1 DON, if your opponent has 7 or more cards in their hand, trash 2 cards from your opponent's hand. Although, I wouldn't run 4 of ST10 in the build as not all builds will be able to get a lot of cards in hand, so 2 is a nice number, unless you don't have promo Laws.

EB03 Law is a card that works specifically for Corazon build where we are running a lot of Law cards. Law has the Rush ability with an activate main. The effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand and this Character to add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, play one 7 cost or less Law from your hand. Not only we have Life gain, but we can also play any of the other Law for free as they are all 7 cost or less in the build.

The Supports

The rest of the supports for the deck is very simple. ST18 Usohachi is mainly for the 2k counter, but if we have enough DONs, we could use the effect. The effect works on play, if you have 8 or more DONs on your field, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters.

OP12 Baby 5 is another card with 2k counter, and would be only useful if we can trigger her trigger effect. The trigger effect is if your Leader is multicoloured, draw 2 cards. Draw power is always useful especially this would give us more choices of which Law to play on the field.

Lastly, OP14 Virgo who can protect Corazon thanks to being a DQ Pirates type. Virgo has 2 effects, the first effect works once per turn, if your DQ Pirates Character would be removed from the field, you may return 1 DON instead. Returning DONs actually help this deck to pull off our ramp effects. The second effect works when attacking, by returning 1 DON, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 2k power for the turn. This would allow our weaker Characters to swing at your opponent's rested Characters like Usohachi.

Events

The nice thing about these Events is that they can be all searched out using our searchers. I Love You is our 1 drop Event and the only 1 drop Event in this build. The counter effect is your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 2k power for the battle. Then, if you have 2 or less Life cards, add 1 Law from your trash to your hand. 2k power is low, but we get to recycle Law from our trash, especially EB03 Law and pull off the Life gain again.

Gamma Knife is an Event we could use first before using our Leader's effect. The effect is by returning 1 DON, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 5k power for the turn. 5k power is a lot, and we also have beat sticks in this deck, easily wiping your opponent's Characters unless they have Blockers on the field. The trigger effect is add 1 DON as active.

Influence Technique is designed for Law, so preferably, you want to use this with your beat sticks. The effect is choose 1 Law and that card gains 2k power for the turn. Then, if the chosen Character attacks, your opponent cannot activate Blockers. This is only good if your opponent has Blockers, otherwise, it will just be a plain power boost for Law. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.

Lastly, I am running Bullet String from OP14 set. The counter effect is by returning 1 DON, if your Leader is DQ Pirates, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 2k power for the battle. Then, that card gains another 2k power for the battle. This is not bad for 2, but that's only if we have 2 DONs spare to use the counter.
