OP14 Blue/Yellow (Hancock) Deck Profile

OP14 Hancock is here, and personally, I like running this over OP07 Hancock. Both builds with have different style, but if you like yellow, then, this build would be better. Hopefully, EB03 supports would work with this build, otherwise, I could always try OP07 Hancock build, so this wouldn't be my final build as this is just a temporary build of what I would use for now.

OP14 Hancock

How it Works?

As we are focusing on Kuja Pirates/Amazon Lily cards, there's not a lot we could use aside from Hancock who is the main card of the deck. What we do want is trigger Hancock's Leader draw, and the draw is not once per turn, so the more trigger cards you put into the Life area, the more cards you can draw. Not to mention, when your opponents KO your Kuja Pirates/Amazon Lily, they would lose a Life card, although, you can only trigger this once per turn, but it does means, you won't need to focus on attacking your opponent's Leader if you don't have enough power.

I was thinking of running Sengoku who can search the Warlord cards which is useful for Kuma, however, I have ran out of spaces, and I don't want to reduce the numbers, maybe EB04 Hancock, but the draw power would be useful in case your trigger effects aren't triggering.

The Life Area

There are 2 cards that is not a Life gain card which is Nyon and Hiyori which is why the heading is changed to the Life area. These cards will get to do something in your Life area, whether to swap cards or gain a Life card. OP14 Nyon is a card that works the same as Hiyori. The effect works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life cards to your hand to place 1 card from your hand to the top of your Life cards. The one difference is that Nyon can be searched out from the deck with our searcher and also has a trigger effect. The trigger effect is play this card.

OP06 Hiyori is also important as we want to trigger Hancock's Leader effect using our trigger effects, so even if you don't see Nyon, we can always play Hiyori as back up. The effect works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life cards to your hand to place 1 card from your hand to the top of your Life cards. Hiyori has a 2k counter, which is why I would prefer to play Nyon unless I don't have her in the hand.

OP12 Kuma is a Life gain card for 6 drop which is what we want as we want to pull off as much trigger effects as possible to fill up the field as well as drawing cards. Kuma has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, this Character gains +2 cost until the end of your opponent's turn. The +2 cost won't matter too much as we just want the Life gain effect. The second effect works during your opponent's turn and on KO, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area, forcing pressure to your opponents if they don't KO Kuma, we have a 7k beat stick on the field.

OP14 Hancock would be a main staple for 7 Warlord deck as long as they can use yellow cards. The effect works on play, if your Leader is 7 Warlord, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, your opponent add the top card from their Life area to their hand. Hancock can reduce your opponent's Life area even more without the need to attack your opponent's Leader combined with our Leader's effect. The trigger effect is play one 6k or less Character and has Trigger from your hand. This shouldn't be difficult to pull off, but for this build, playing Characters using trigger effects is easy to do, so you won't need to use Hancock and focus on the on play effect.

Draw

The 2 cards that focus on draw, well only 1 of them as the other is more of a hand filter. The more draw you can get, the better as it gives you more options to play and have more counters in hand. EB04 Hancock is in OP14 set, so you can add her to the build, but it does depend on if you need her as she doesn't have a counter. The effect works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This effect is very standard, but what we also have is the trigger effect. The trigger effect is play one 5k power or less Character with Trigger from your hand, and thanks to the trigger effect we could trigger the draw power from the Leader's effect which is what I want.

OP14 Shakuyaku is mainly for the 2k counter since the main effect is all about timing so you really don't want trigger her during the early turns. The effect works on play, if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. 3 or less shouldn't be difficult to trigger, but during the early turns, this card will just be a plain 2k counter vanilla if we can't meet the Life requirements. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

Returning

We don't really have much removals when it comes to the deck. We can easily target your opponent's Life area, but we can't really do anything about their Characters on the field except attacking into them. OP06 Pudding is a different type of removal as we get to target your opponent's hand instead of field. It's great against decks who have plenty of draw power like Hancock. The effect works on play, your opponent return all cards from their hand to the deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draw 5 new cards.

Red Roc for 6 is not bad as we can target any Characters we want on the field, and don't need to worry about their high cost beat stick Characters. The effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. The trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Gravity Blade is optional as this card is only good against going wide decks, but if you want to target your opponent's main beat stick, then, you can replace Gravity Blade with Red Roc. The main effect is place two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The trigger effect is similar to Red Roc, place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Attaching DONs

The 2 main cards where we can attach rested DONs to our Leader so we don't need to have an active DON to attach. Both of these cards have the exact same trigger effect which is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card, and both have activate main for attaching rested DONs which is useful. Ran's effect is attach 1 rested DON to 1 of your Kuja Pirates Leader or your Characters. This is very easy to do as long as we can play a card.

Gorgon Sisters on the other hand requires hand size, and if you don't have certain amount of cards in hand, the effect won't work and this card will just a plain vanilla with 2k counter. The effect is reveal 3 Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates cards from your hand to give all of your Leader and Characters 1 rested DON each. On the bright side, this card does power up the field to make the numbers hit better since we are mainly running 5k base Characters.

Kuja Pirates/Amazon Lily Supports

The rest of the supports are pretty basic, OP14 Marguerite is the main searcher for this deck even though she cost 3 to play. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order and trash 1 card from your hand. This is not your normal searcher as we won't be gaining any cards, but at least we could look for specific cards we need. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

ST03 Hancock is just a 1k Blocker but with a trigger effect that can work well with the Leader's effect, letting us draw a card as well as having a Blocker for free. Not to mention, being a Kuja Pirates card means we can trigger our Leader's effect forcing your opponent to lose a Life card. The trigger effect is play this card. You also have EB04 Hancock's trigger effect who could play this Blocker for free.

I didn't really like the new Event for Hancock, but this is my personal opinion, so I've decided to run just 4 Slave Arrow as the counter for the build. The counter effect is by returning one 2 cost or more Character to the owner's hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. The returning will definitely be handy as it would let us play more Characters with the trigger effect without the need to replace those cards, whilst gaining extra draw. The trigger effect is draw 2 cards and place 2 cards from your hand to the bottom of the deck in any order.

Lastly, Perfume Fermur is to play against Blockers, otherwise, you will be mainly powering up your cards, so they can hit even more power. The effect is 1 of your 7 Warlords Leader or Characters gains 2k power. Then, when that card attacks during this turn, your opponents cannot activate Blockers. There's a lot of Hancock and you can also use this with Kuma if you want, but you want this with our 9 drop Hancock so we can hit as much power as possible without worrying about Blockers. The trigger effect is just draw 1 card.
