PRB02 Green/Yellow (Yamato) Deck Profile

There's one more card you can run in OP13 set and that card is also Wano type, so it will be easier to search that card out. At the moment, this would be my temporary build since running that OP13 card will change this build again. I have made some obvious changes using OP12 set too and not just PRB02 set, and I don't think that 1 card from PRB02 would make a huge difference.

PRB02 Yamato

How it Works?

The one thing we mainly want to focus is stacking Banish with Double Attack, so 1 hit with our Leader could trigger some of the cards in this build, especially our Leader effect. If you opponent decided to use their hand early, that will also be useful as that could reduce the cards in their hand for late to mid game. The more aggressive you can be with the Leader, the sooner they could hit 0 cards in their Life area. Plus we want to power up our attacks with the Leader's effect so the low power Characters won't be on the field for their on play effects.

Life Gain

Not many ways to gain Life cards even though we are splashing yellow to this build as some of them has a very specific requirements to work. Kiku is the best for this deck as Yamato's Double Attack ability can easily fill the requirements of Kiku's effect. The effect works on KO, if your opponent has 3 or less Life, add 1 card from top of your deck to top of your Life area. The trigger effect is also very easy to trigger as the requirements is similar to the on KO effect. The trigger effect is if your opponent has 3 or less Life, play this card, giving you some board presence on the field.

OP06 Momo is a Blocker but also depends on what cards you have on the field as it would be best if you choose a card with Trigger effect, or ST28 Izo to reuse the on play effect. The effect works on play, add 1 Wano Character other than Momo to top or bottom of the owner's Life area face up. ST28 Izo would be the best choice if we want to constantly spam Banish keyword, however you could also target ST28 Yamato for more search effect, well it depends on what have you've got on the field to make use of the on play effect.

I have added OP12 Kuma, and I don't know if this would be the right choice since we have other high cost Characters in the build to prioritise. Although, I guess making the games last long would be helpful. Kuma has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, this Character gains +2 cost until the end of your opponent's turn. The +2 cost doesn't really matter for this build as we mainly want the Life gain ability. The second effect works during your opponent's turn and on KO, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. This might be difficult to trigger as your opponents won't be generous enough to give you Life cards unless they can do final push to win.

Leader Supports

These cards are mainly for the Leader, so we can create some deadly combinations and put pressure against your opponents. ST28 Izo has 2 effects, the first effect will require 2 DONs for Izo to gain Blocker, but what I am aiming for is Izo's second effect. The second effect works on play, your Wano Leader gains Banish for the turn. More Banish for the deck is great, especially now that we don't have to rely on 1 card Onami to get the Banish keyword.

OP06 Onami is also in the deck for the same reason as ST28 Izo, however, Onami also has a trigger effect which is useful if we don't need the Banish effect. The effect works on play, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains Banish for the turn. We do not have to give the Banish to Yamato Leader, especially if they've only got 1 Life card left, we could give the Banish to 1 of our high power Characters instead. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The trigger effect is definitely useful to get rid of some of your opponent's Characters.

PRB02 Otama has replaced Tonoyasu but that's because Otama also has a trigger effect as well as 2k counter we could use. The main effect is an activate main where you rest this Character and add 1 card from the top or bottom of your Life area to your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for the turn. This effect isn't as good as Tonoyasu as we will be sacrificing Life cards, but in return, this is an activate main effect, so we can constantly use Otama as long as we can pay the requirement. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, helping you to slow your opponent's attacks down.

ST28 Momo could work with Otama if your opponents aren't hitting your Leader, but I am mainly running him for the Rush ability, so we can attack as soon as he hits the field. Momo has 2 effects, the first effect works during your turn, if you have 2 or less Life cards, your Leader gains 1k power. That 1k power could be handy as we want to be as aggressive as possible against your opponents. The second effect is an activate main effect, you may return a total of 2 currently attached DONs on your field to your DON area rested. This Character gains Rush and 1k power for the turn.

Rest

More rest effects have been added for this build, although some of them are mainly for the 2k counter. 1 of them is Kouzaburo as the on play effect will be difficult to trigger, but being a Wano card means we could add him to hand for defence. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. Then, KO 1 of your opponent's base cost of 1 or less Characters. Unfortunately, we can only KO 1 cost Characters which is not a lot of choices to choose from.

OP01 Izo is better than Kouzaburo when it comes to resting, plus we have our Leader to power up Izo, hitting the magic number we need. Otherwise, this card would be the same as Kouzaburo when we mainly adding this card for the 2k counter. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

Hody is another Character who have Rush, so we have 2 different Characters with Rush ability. Although, I did reduce the number to 3 since seeing this early was not what I want when I want to focus on Double Attack first. The effect works on play, rest up to a total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top Life card to your hand. We do lose a Life card but it doesn't matter too much if we can finish off your opponents.

The Supports

The support is straight forward as we mainly have searchers and the other cards for this build. ST28 Yamato is a searcher with 2 effects rather than just having an on play effect only. The first effect will require you to attach 2 DONs for this effect to work. During your turn, this Character gains 3k power, making Yamato a 5k beat stick altogether. The second effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one 2 cost or more Wano card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

OP01 Momo could help you search for Yamato, but most importantly is getting ST28 Izo in hand, so we can pop off the Banish ability. The effect is by paying one DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Wano card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We will be resting this card which can be a downside as your opponents could KO this card with their low power Characters.

ST28 Doji works the best if Yamato Leader does not hit since your opponent doesn't want to lose 2 Life cards in one go, especially when we combined it with Banish keyword. This will also leaves Doji effect kicks in being the only removal for this deck. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Wano and your opponent has 3 or more Life cards, KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost base Characters.

OP12 Mihawk is a great addition for this build since we barely have any high cost Characters aside from Hody. We would be able to get around the restrictions once you use this card's effect. Mihawk is also a Blocker, so we can stop your opponent's attacks easily especially being 8k Blocker. The effect works on play effect, untap up to 4 of your DONs. Then, you cannot play base cost of 7 or more for this turn.

Events

A small change to the Events since OP12 came out, so I'm using 1 of the Events from that set. Who Should Disappear is yellow 0 cost Event Counter. The counter effect is the same as any other colours. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader or Characters gains 3k power for this battle. The trigger effect can be triggered using Hiyori's effect as we could place this card in the Life area if you only got 1 Life card left. The trigger effect is if you have 0 Life cards, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand.

Dead's Man Game is useful in this build as the effect is just a cheaper version of Hody, but the counter effect only protect our Leader. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs to rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. This will cost you 4 DONs altogether if you want to rest your opponent's Characters or DONs. The counter effect is our Leader gains 3k power for the turn.
