OP16 Blue/Yellow (Hancock) Deck Profile

Hancock has a small update using OP16 support, but sacrifices will need to be made or the room will be very cramp to fit new stuff. Unfortunately, as better yellow cards get release, the deck will be very expensive to build as some of the yellow cards are expensive, but that is the same for other build that will be using yellow as the colour.

How it Works?

I've kept this build simple even though you can cramp as much cards as you want to this build. The main aim for this deck is trigger effects and being able to attach DON to your Leader so we can make your opponent loses Life cards. Not to mention, the draw power is not once per turn, so as long as your Trigger effects lets you play cards, you can easily gain a massive hand size just from the Leader's effect alone.


Life Gain


As for the Life gain, I've added 1 more Character to the build from OP16 which is Blackbeard, so you won't struggle for Life cards, and will be able to constantly trigger the trigger effects. OP15 Zoro won't matter for the discard cost as we can easily get a massive hand size if the cards are played right. Zoro works on play, you may trash 1 card to add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.

EB04 Kizaru is a 6k Blocker, but the effect only works when you have low Life cards which is not difficult to do, unless we play Zoro very early in the game for new Life cards. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.

OP16 Blackbeard being 1 of the 7 Warlords makes this card even better for Hancock build, and also why I've took out Kuma. The effect works on play, look at top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 card to top of your Life area. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. You want to target cards that could let you play cards during your opponent's turn which makes Blackbeard even more useful for this build. The trigger effect is also very good as it can act as a removal which is negate the effect of 1 of your opponent's Characters this turn. Then, KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters.

OP14 Hancock is our final Life gain card for this build, but you can also use the trigger effect if needed. The effect works on play, if your Leader is 7 Warlord, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, your opponent add the top card from their Life area to their hand. Combined with our Leader's effect, you can easily reduce your opponent's Life area without the need to attack. The trigger effect is play one 6k or less Character and has Trigger from your hand.

Attaching DONs


The cards who can constantly attach rested DONs to your Leader, so we don't need to leave an active DON to attach to your Leader. Ran is important to have on the field as she makes attaching DONs a lot easier to do. The effect is an activate main effect, attach 1 rested DON to 1 of your Kuja Pirates Leader or your Characters. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

ST17 Hancock not only attach rested DONs, but can also work with your Life gain cards if you have enough DONs on top of being a 6k Blocker. The effect works on play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them on top or bottom of your deck in any order. Then, attach 1 rested DON to your 7 Warlords Leader or Characters. Looking at the top 3 cards not only help the Life gain, but we would also know what cards we will draw next in order to get those cards to the field a lot quicker.

Gorgon Sisters is a card where you need Kuja Pirates or AL in hand to work, so you don't really want to run a lot of non engine to the build, or you will have difficulties in triggering the effect. The effect is an activate main, reveal 3 AL or Kuja Pirates cards from your hand to give all of your Leader and Characters 1 rested DON each. If you have at least 3 in hand, you could power up the entire field which is always useful. The trigger effect is the same as Ran, if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

Amazon Lily/Kuja Pirates Supports


The rest of the AL or Kuja Pirates for the build. Now, you have a choice of running OP06 Hiyori or Nyon in the build as it is difficult to run both cards at maximum copies as we have lack of room. I chose Nyon because of the trigger effect and being Amazon Lily type over Hiyori who only has 2k counter. The effect works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life cards to your hand to place 1 card from your hand to the top of your Life cards. The trigger effect is play this card.

OP14 Marguerite is mainly a searcher for this deck, we have plenty of draw power if you can set up your trigger effects, but searching is better as you can look for specific cards. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 AL or Kuja Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order and trash 1 card from your hand. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

OP16 Marigold has a simple effect that requires you to have low Life cards, otherwise, we will just have a 5k beat stick. The effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, this card gains Blocker. This might be difficult to pull off unless you have 1 or less Life cards, and the Life gains won't change the effect. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

OP14 Shaku is mainly a hand filter to filter out the cards we won't be playing with the cards we can play. The effect works on play, if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. 3 or less shouldn't be difficult to trigger, but during the early turns, this card will just be a plain 2k counter vanilla if we can't meet the Life requirements. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Kuja Pirates, play this card.

Events


For the Events, I have added Who Should Disappear as an extra precaution, beside, you do have plenty of draw power to get a decent hand size. The counter effect works like other 0 cost from other colours. The effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for the battle. The trigger effect won't be easy as I am not running Hiyori in the build who could easily trigger the effect. The effect is if you have 0 Life cards, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, trash 1 card from your hand.

Slave Arrow is very useful as we can reuse Nyon's effect to place Trigger effects in our Life area. The counter effect is by returning one 2 cost or more Character to the owner's hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. The trigger effect is draw 2 cards and place 2 cards from your hand to the bottom of the deck in any order.

Perfume Femur can be used with our 2 main 7 Warlords beat stick who have plenty of power. The effect is 1 of your 7 Warlords Leader or Characters gains 2k power. Then, when that card attacks during this turn, your opponents cannot activate Blockers. It doesn't matter if your opponent doesn't have Blockers as the power bonus will be very handy to force a lot of your opponent's counters from their hand. The trigger effect is just draw 1 card.
