As we are close to April, I won't be using Block 1 cards for Oden, and it does means, we will be losing 1 of the key cards, OP01 Denjiro who works very well with this build. I guess this is why we have a rotation, to start thinking different in tackling these old Leaders who are still in the rotation. What I do like about Oden is that our non counter Wano cards will get 1k counter, and that can easily makes a difference when it comes to protecting the cards.

How it Works?
For this build, I've decided to use Perona engine where we focus on Slash Characters along with Wano Cards. Although, the red cards aren't Slash Characters and won't be able to search them with Otama since Momo is out of rotation for this build. We will have to rely on luck to draw some of these cards. Losing Denjiro who was a Slash and a 5 cost Character also hurts for this build, as it also means Hiyori has 1 less target, but I guess we can always target 4 drop or less if needed.
I've also tried to cramp as much as I can in this build, because there are some cards like Hody and Shanks who could be really useful in the deck even though they are non Wano cards. Although Shanks can be searched out with our Perona searcher, so that's not really a problem at all, only Hody will need to be draw normally.
Rest
Not much when it comes to rest effect. Kouzaburo is a Wano and a Slash Character which makes it really good with Otama and Perona searchers. Also have a 2k counter, so we don't need to play him on the field. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. Then, KO 1 of your opponent's 1 cost base or less Characters.
Hody on the other hand has the Rush ability which will allow us to sneak some attacks for this deck. The effect works on play, rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's DONs or Characters. Then, add the top card of your Life area to your hand. I guess the downside will be the Life area as we only starts with 4 Life cards for this build.
Dead Man's Game is the only Event I am running and this Event can be searched out with our Perona searcher. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs to rest up to a total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs, costing 4 altogether. This is cheaper version of Hody, especially if you have a full field of beat sticks on the field. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.
Removals
I don't know if you want to count Kouzaburo as a removal as that card can only target 1 cost or less, whereas these cards can target higher costs, especially Shanks who can target any cards. OP06 Ryuma is like Kouzaburo when we can search this our with both of our searchers thanks to Slash and Wano type. The effect works on play or on KO, KO 1 of your opponent's rested 4 cost or less Characters. The on KO effect can easily get around by your opponents as they can attack with their high cost Character first since Ryuma can only targets rested Characters.
ST16 Shanks on the other hand can target any Characters we want when it comes to removal. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's rested Characters. Well, they need to be rested, but that shouldn't be hard to do especially if they attack with their beat sticks.
Attaching DONs
We have plenty of cards that can attach rested DONs to your Leader, giving your Leader even more power. EB03 Hiyori is a card that works specifically with Oden if you want the full effect. Hiyori has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, if your Leader is Oden, draw 1 card. The draw power is always useful to have. The second effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character to attach 1 rested DON to your Wano Leader. We can also sack Hiyori so we have the room to play high beat sticks to the field.
EB01 Izo also has 2 effects like Hiyori. The first effect works on play, attached 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. As Izo is a 5 drop Wano, we could easily trigger Oden's power requirements. The second effect works during your opponent's attacks, once per turn, you may trash 1 card from your hand, if your Leader is Wano or WB Pirates type, reduce your opponent's Leader or 1 of their Characters by 2k this turn. We can reduce your opponent's Leader power which can easily weaken 1 of their attacks from hitting.
EB01 Yamato has a 2k counter, so we don't have to play her to the field if we have other 5 cost or higher Wano Characters on the field. But if we don't have other Characters on the field, then, we will have to play Yamato to the field. The effect is an activate main effect, attached 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. We can use this effect constantly compare to Izo and can also power up our Character's attacks if needed.
EB02 Yamato is a 6 drop which won't work well with our EB01 Hiyori, but would still work with Oden Leader. Just like the EB01 version, we have an activate main effect. If your Leader is Wano or Ace, give 1 rested DON to your Leader. Then, this Character gains Rush. The Rush would also help as we can instantly attack as soon as she hits the field, and won't need to wait for next turn like the other cards.
Searchers
The 2 main searchers in this build as Momo is out of rotation if we want to fit a 3rd searcher. OP07 Otama is not the best when it comes to searching Wano cards as we have some restrictions compare to Momo. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 green Wano card except Otama and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. As you can see, we can only search for Green Wano cards, and not red where some of the key cards are red in this build.
OP12 Perona is a back up searcher since most of our cards in this build have Slash attribute, whilst Otama card focus on getting non Slash attribute to hand. The effect works on play, if your Leader has the Slash attribute, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Slash Character or green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The only green Event I am running is Dead Man's Game, so we could focus on the Characters if we don't see the Event.
Wano Supports
The Wano supports was difficult as most of the old stuff works very well with our Leader compare to the new supports. OP12 Oden is mainly for the 2k counter, but we can still play him if we need a beat stick on the field. The effect works during your opponent's turn, if this Character is rested, this card gains 2k power. A nice 7k beat stick for your opponents to swing into and would need less counters unless your opponent uses their high power Characters.
EB01 Hiyori is to help to play our 5 cost Characters for free so we can trigger Oden's Leader effect as soon as possible. The effect is an activate main effect, you may trash this Character to play one 5 cost or less Wano Character except Hiyori from your hand. Then, draw 1 card. You could use Hiyori's effect right away to get 1 of the 5 cost Wano to the field for 4 instead of 5.
EB03 Kiku works very well with Oden Leader as Oden is not once per turn for the when attacking effect, so we could have a 7k base Leader on your opponent's turn. Ideally, we do want to force your opponents to use their counters with Kiku, but if you need defence, then, this is another way to use the effect. The effect is an activate main, if this Character was played on this turn, untap 1 of your Wano Leader.
