As you know, Digimon has all caught up to the JPN set, and now that game will be released at the same time. Now One Piece will be doing the same which is great since some sets are boring, and just waiting for the new set to arrive. Of course, this would means, they will need to push some sets out as soon as possible instead of 3 months period just like Digimon. Although Digimon had a lot of sets in the JPN format, and in order to catch up, they've combined BT sets together as well as doing like monthly releases.
This will only leave Union Arena being the only Bandai game that hasn't got simultaneous release, and considering that game only came out not long ago. Pushing for simultaneous release right now would be awful. I consider Battle Spirits Saga a different card game compare to Battle Spirits, so no need to mention about that game. Dragon Ball Super always had simultaneous release, considering back then, you could only buy English text cards, and the card game was worldwide.
The good thing about simultaneous release is that we won't end up in situations like both Digimon and One Piece did. Banning cards before the EN sets even got release. We know it was dominant in the JP Format, but in the JP format, the decks have been out for like 3 months, whilst for the EN format, we won't be able to use the cards in like 2 weeks time. I'm like what's the point of this if they going to ban it straight away. This will definitely prevent that from happening again.
Pirates League
Moving on next to the next announcement, the Pirates League. This is definitely a League some people won't be able to play if their card shops don't host One Piece events. We won't have much info about this until they've updated their site. I personally would take teams battle over shops battles, since my locals don't sell One Piece stuff, making it hard for me to play One Piece with people. Teams would be easier, since I could lend people my decks and enter the League.
