BANDAI CARD GAMES Presentation June 18, 2026


I didn't want to split this post into different section for Bandai card games. Beside, some card games got more stuff revealed than the other, so this will make some posts even shorter. I'll just go through DCG, GCG and OPCG games as I've been talking about these topics for the blog.

Gundam Card Game

GCG has product schedule and even card reveals for the presentation. I didn't expect card reveals, I was just expecting Events and products announcement.

Cards


We've got Strike Freedom, and I don't know why, but I was expecting an effect related to the Dragoon system. Anyway, the effect is nice for the deploy as you will be able to draw 2 cards maximum when this Unit hits the field, and the when attack effect only return 1 of your opponent's lowest level to the deck, but you do lose 2 cards for the cost. It's only worth the effect if the deck has plenty of draw power to make up for the cost.


Looks like our Pilots are getting LR rarity which can make the deck more expensive depending on the effect. Although, Master Asia is a Lv6 Pilot which will take you a bit of a turn to play him. I like the effect, when you use a special move Command, we can deal 2 damage to 1 of your opponent's Units. This sounds like Master Asia in the anime, at least, they've kept him similar. Now I also understand why this is LR rarity as the effect can be very strong, especially if we are getting more G Gundam support in future.


The Pilots cards will get SP treatment, so I'll be looking forward to those.


1 of the SP pilot is Suletta who will be in GD05 set, so if you want to maximise the rarity, then, Suletta will be a favourite.


SP resources are available, and if we get waifus like Lacus, then, these are worth the money to get to get all 10 copies. Although, you can go different waifus if they get the SP Resource.


We also have LR++ for GD05, so this set might be looking forward to pull if you want to maximise the rarity.

New Rarity


This might be over the top, but if you want to max out the rarity of your deck, there is now a Link Rare rarity. The only thing I am wondering is how this will affect the ratio of the box, or how many LKR in a case. If there's only like 2-3 in a case, then, LKR is going to get very expensive.

Anniversary Set


If I remember, the anniversary set will have reprints of the cards which will be good for new players who missed getting the old cards.

Product Schedule


Pretty much the ones we know already, so this isn't something new. I guess we will have to wait until 2027 for the other release dates.

One Piece Card Game

Unlike GCG, OPCG won't have any EN translation on the products. I hope when we reach simultaneous release, we can get the same treatment as GCG.

Card Sleeves


More sleeves for the game, even though I am pretty sure we've got a lot, but I am hoping we can get more unique ones rather than focusing on the Straw Hats.

Cards


The SR cards for each of the starter decks will be getting.


We've got Luffy Leader who pretty much gives all 12 cost or more Blocker ability which will tell you the deck style. I can't remember if the old black Straw Hat is Block 1 or in Block 2, if its in Block 2, we might be able to use some of those cards for this build.


Loki

Giants / Elbaf

This Character gains +12 cost, and if it’s your opponent’s turn, this Character gains +3000 power.

[On Play] K.O. up to a number of your opponent’s Characters with a total cost of 4 or less.

Loki will work very well with Luffy as we can automatically make Loki an 11k Blocker during your opponent's turn. The on play effect will work the best with cost reducers, but I doubt we will get more cost reducers as they are mainly from Block 1 style.

The Four Emperors / Whitebeard Pirates

[On Opponent’s Attack] [Once Per Turn] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Up to 1 of your Leader or Character cards gains +4000 power during this battle.

Looks like Whitebeard is back, and we could say Whitebeard Pirates is now fully revived from Block 1 rotation. Some of the WB Pirates cards from the rotation might work with the new Whitebeard, considering that Whitebeard just has a simple power up effect which will require timing. You could combine this with OP09 Shanks to try and weaken your opponent's attacks, so they will need more DONs if they want to hit that 9k power.

Digimon Card Game

I am afraid DCG didn't get the same treatment as GCG even though we've got simultaneous release. If DCG didn't get the EN translation, I doubt OPCG would follow even if we do have simultaneous release.

Pristimon

Alt. Digivolution Requirements
[Digivolve] Lv.2 w/[Glowing Dawn] trait: Cost 0

Main Effect
[On Play] Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Add 1 card with the [Glowing Dawn] trait and 1 black card with the [BEATBREAK] trait among them to the hand. Return the rest to the bottom of the deck.
Inherited Effect
<Reboot> (This Digimon also unsuspends in your opponent's unsuspend phase.)


Rosemon: Burst Mode/Aguichant Lèvres

Alt. Digivolution Requirements
[Digivolve] Lv.6 w/[DATA SQUAD] trait: Cost 5
[Burst Digivolve] [Rosemon]: Cost 0 by returning 1 [Yoshino Fujieda] to the hand.
At the end of the burst digivolution turn, trash this Digimon's top card.

Card Effect(s)
[When Digivolving] You may suspend 2 Digimon or Tamers. Then, 2 of your opponent's Digimon or Tamers can't unsuspend until their turn ends.
[When Digivolving] [When Attacking] By returning 1 other suspended Digimon to the bottom of the deck, trash your opponent's top security card.

Option Card Effect

[Main] Suspend 2 of your opponent's Digimon or Tamers. Then, until their turn ends, none of their suspended Digimon or Tamers can digivolve or unsuspend.

[Arts Digivolve] (Instead of trashing after use, your cards may digivolve into this card without paying the cost.)


Hyokomon

Alt. Digivolution Requirements
[Digivolve] Lv.2 w/[TS] trait: Cost 0

Card Effect(s)
[Start of Your Main Phase] By trashing 1 card with [Chronomon] in its text or the [Shaman] trait from your hand, <Draw 1> (Draw 1 card from your deck.) and gain 1 memory.
Inherited Effect
[When Attacking] <Draw 1> (Draw 1 card from your deck.) Then, if your hand has 6 or more cards, return 1 card in your hand to the bottom of the deck.

We've got 3 cards revealed from BT26, unfortunately, they are cramped together so I had to put their effects in 1 section. Pristimon is good support for Glowing Dawn build as this is just a searcher with a Reboot inherited skill.

Rosemon BM/AL is a Dual card, so for the main effect we will be just doing suspending, and those Digimon or Tamers cannot unsuspend. Although, we do have some cards that works when we suspend those cards, so we will be triggering more than just Rosemon's effect. Not only that, we can trash your opponent's security by returning 1 of other suspended Digimon, so we want to target your opponent's field. The option effect is the same as the main effect, except you will be targeting your opponent's field only and not both fields.

Hyokomon works with Chronomon or Shaman build and this is just a discard and draw with memory ramp like other past cards we've scene. The inherited skill is just draw a card, but if you have low hand size, we won't need to return cards to the deck.

Products


Looks like BT27 and BT28 will focus on X Antibody which make sense since there are a lot of X Antibody Digimon and I doubt we can fit them all in one set. If you are not a X Antibody fan, you will be skipping 2 of these set unless there's a random support for your deck. For me BT28 will be my main focus since we are getting Ulforce X, so I will be looking forward to both EX13 and BT28 supports for new Ulforce build.


LM set, no idea if we would get some reprints in this set or not.

Naruto Card Game


More card game from Bandai, and this time, we've got Naruto. I wonder what kind of gameplay we will be getting, and would we be able to utilise Ninjutsu for the game. Although, I know we might be focusing on Naruto, but I wonder if they going to add some Boruto stuff in the game, because you will never know, especially if they ran out of ideas for Naruto stuff, they could add some Boruto in the game.
