ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 25-26 Season 2 Tournament in Fukuoka w/ OP14 Cards Revealed

I've been focusing on GCG World Championship for JP that I forgotten that OPCG also have card reveals in their videos. Although, most of the cards have been revealed already. Unlike GCG, we don't get to see people decks and only the top 16 results. Don't forget that JP also have OP13 and EB03 released, but I don't think people already have the cards for EB03 for this World Championship, so we should focus on OP13 more.

The OP14 set seems to focus on 7 Warlords, although, there won't be all 7 Leader will be revealed in this set, since they mainly do 5 Leaders per set. Would be very surprised to see all 7 Warlords in this set as a Leader. But it will be interesting if you are a 7 Warlord fan and 1 of your Leader is in the list, then this set is good for you.

Season 2 Prizes

Both of these cards are from OP13 for the tournament prizes and I assume people reaches to top 8 gets Ace whilst top 16 will get Sabo.

Tournaments Deck

As you can see Red/Blue Ace with 24% is the most used in the tournament with Imu second with 18%. I guess Roger cards only sounds OP, but in reality, the deck takes time to see up as we can see only 11% is being used in the tournament. Looks like Green Zoro is still 3rd popular with 17%, but Zoro do have a nice update with OP13 cards, so if you built that deck, you will still be able to face both Ace and Imu builds.

Moving on to 5%, Blue/Purple Luffy and Red/Black Sabo (OP13 I assume), but what I am surprised is that Luffy is down drastically. I know the ban list hurts that build, and I guess there's not many cards in OP13 could suit that build. Green Bonney is still going strong with 4% as that deck will continuously to get support until rotation kicks in, although, I don't think it will hurt Bonney that much with rotation.

Down to 2%, we have 3 decks in that category, Rayleigh, Blackbeard and Red/Green Luffy. By Red/Green Luffy, I assume it is the Leader from OP13 and not the OP01 Leader. It would be a miracle seeing OP01 Luffy being used again. The 1% which is the only Red/Yellow Leader in the game Betty, I don't even need to find the translation for that.

There are other decks which are mixed in the 9% category, I see Green/Purple Luffy, Yellow Bonney, Purple Luffy as the main one I don't need to find the translation, and do I see people running Green/Blue Corazon (Rosinante) builds again.

Top 16

Deck varieties to me doesn't matter. What matters is reaching to top 16, and top 16 the result is slightly different. Ace must be a strong deck if 7 people who uses Ace reached top 16. What I am surprised is Imu and Zoro have swapped position with Green Zoro, 4 people managed to reach top 16 whilst Imu only got 3 people. But I want to do a shoutout to those 1 person who are using Blue/Purple Luffy and Green Bonney who were in that 5% and 4% range. It is what I like to see rather than the obvious meta dominating the tournament.

No one managed to reach top 16 with Roger build even though we did have 11% of people using Roger build in this tournament. You would expect at least 1 could reach top 16, but not a single one. They must have been unlucky with the matchup since some decks could be a counter for Roger decks, or Roger isn't that good in reality.

Cards

Dracule Mihawk

Green Leader (OP14-020)

5 Life / 5000 Power (Slash)

The Seven Warlords of the Sea

If your opponent's Leader has the <Slash> attribute, this Leader gains +1000 power.
[Activate: Main][Once Per Turn] You may rest 1 of your cards: If there is a Character with a cost of 5 or more on the field, set up to 3 of your DON!! cards as active. Then, you cannot play Character cards during this turn.

I do feel like Mihawk is very similar to OP12 version, except we've got a Leader version instead of Character. I am not sure about the effect unless Mihawk is more Event based deck. It would make sense since Mihawk is a one man Pirate, always acts alone, and always have a Ship for himself. Although, if your opponent is playing OP12 Zoro, we can have a 6k base Leader with 5 Life cards.

Donquixote Doflamingo

Purple Leader (OP14-060)

5 Life / 5000 Power (Special)

The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Donquixote Pirates

[On Opponent's Attack] [Once Per Turn] DON!! -1: Select your Leader or 1 of your {Donquixote Pirates} type Characters. Change the attack target to the selected card.

We've got purple Doffy now, and some cards from OP10 I think could work with this build. It seems to me Doffy will be a very defensive deck as we can redirect an attack once per turn. If they make any new DQ Pirates cards with on KO effect, we could easily trigger those cards, and maybe I could use them in Crocodile build too.

Boa Hancock

Yellow/Blue Leader (OP14-041)

4 life / 5000 Power (Special)

Kuja Pirates / The Seven Warlords of the Sea

[Opponent's Turn] When your Character is played, draw 1 card.
[DON!! x1][Once Per Turn] When 1 of your Characters with the type {Amazon Lily} or {Kuja Pirates} with base power of 5000 or more is KO'd, your opponent add 1 card from the top of the Life cards to the hand.

I am not sure about this effect. The first effect only works with Trigger Characters, but it is not once per turn, so as long as we can play those Trigger Characters who can play themselves to the field, we can keep drawing cards. The second effect only works with Amazon Lily and Kuja Pirates which is disappointing. But if I was making this deck, I would mainly ignore the Amazon Lily and Kuja Pirates, and just focus more on the draw power to draw as much as possible. With Hancock also being Yellow, I could run Life gain cards to the build.

Killing Time

1 Cost / Green Event (OP14-037)

East Blue / The Seven Warlords of the Sea

[Main] You may rest 3 of your cards: K.O. up to 1 of your opponent's rested Characters with base power of 7000 or less.

[Counter] Up to 1 of your Leader gains +3000 power during this battle.

This Event is not bad as we can rest 3 any of any cards, could be a mix of Characters and DONs to KO 7k power or less Characters. 7k power is a lot especially for base power. The counter effect is pretty much the same as any of the new Events we see so far.

Ever White

1 Cost / Purple Event (OP14-076)

The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Donquixote Pirates

[Main] You may rest 2 of your DON!! cards: If your Leader has the {Donquixote Pirates} type, add up to 1 DON!! card from your DON!! deck and rest it.

[Counter] Up to 1 of your Leader gains +3000 power during this battle.

I could use this in Sugar build and not only in Doffy build since Sugar needs more ramp, and also a Event focused build. Of course, I could use this for Green/Purple Doffy deck too, but that Leader is going to be out of rotation, so I am not even sure if I want to upgrade the deck as OP14 would come out next year for EN players.

You’ll… frighten me… ♡

1 Cost / Yellow Event (OP14-118)

The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Kuja Pirates

[Counter] If you have 2 or less Life cards, up to 1 of your opponent’s active Characters cannot attack during this turn.

[Trigger] Play up to 1 Character with [Trigger] and 6000 power or less from your hand.

This Event is not restricted to Hancock build, so we can actually use this in any build, but I am mainly thinking of Enel deck where we can also make use of triggers as well as having low life cards, easily reaching this card requirements. Although, any yellow decks that make use of trigger cards can run this card with ease, so we don't have to just run Who Should Disappear for those builds.

Jinbe

Blue Leader (OP14-040)

5 Life / 5000 Power

Fish-Man / The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Sun Pirates

[Activate: Main] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Give up to 2 rested DON!! cards to 1 of your {Fish-Man} or {Merfolk} type Leader or Character cards.

This is interesting, looks like our Fishman/Merfolk will get a colour changed, from green to blue. Although, to make Jinbe competitive, we will need at least 2 set of supports, since it is type restricted, and we can't really rely on a lot of non type cards for this build.

Crocodile

Black Leader (OP14-079)

5 Life / 5000 Power

The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Baroque Works

All of your opponent's Characters cannot be removed from the field by your effects.
[Activate: Main] You may K.O up to 1 of your Characters with a type including ”Baroque Works": Give up to 1 of your opponent's Characters -10 cost during this turn. Then you may trash 2 cards from the top of your deck.

I don't get this Leader at all. Firstly, just like Jinbe, we need at least 2 set of supports, since the BW cards are mainly from blue and purple. However, we won't be able to use removal effects, which means, we won't be able to play this deck like a normal cost reducer deck. So, we might get cards that triggers when your opponent is at 0 cost or less.

Ocean Current Shoulder Throw

2 Cost / Blue Event (OP14-058)

Fish-Man / The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Sun Pirates

[Activate: Main] You may rest 3 of your DON!! cards: Play up to 1 {Fish-Man} type Character with a cost of 3 or less from your hand. Then, return up to 1 of your opponent’s Characters with 6000 base power to the owner’s hand.

[Counter] Draw 1 card. Then, up to 1 of your Leader gains +3000 Power during this battle.

This is not too bad, not only we can play a Character, but we can also return your opponent's Characters. A lot of base power have been involved recently, but 6k base power isn't difficult to target. What's more, we also get to draw for the counter effect. Then again, this is not your normal 1 drop Event, as this cost 2 to play instead. Plus Jinbe will be constantly discarding if you want to power up your Characters, so we do need some draw power to maintain a hand size.

Ground Death

1 Cost / Black Event (OP14-096)

The Seven Warlords of the Sea / Baroque Works

[Activate: Main] You may rest 2 of your DON!! cards: Negate the effect of up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 5 or less during this turn.

[Counter] If you have 10 or more cards in your trash, up 1 of your Leader or Character cards gains +4000 power during this battle.

Its been a while since Black focused on the number of cards in your trash area. With Crocodile's mill, it does make sense, but what I am more surprised is the main effect. Although, you may argue Black Vortex is better, but Black Vortex is a counter card whereas this is a main effect. You could run both in the build to stop your opponents from activating any effects.

Promos

Hopefully, these promos will get translated, but we've got Vol 14 pack now for the game, and maybe these promos could improve the deck. Although, One Piece isn't really a game that rely on promos as most of the promos we can't get will be released in premium booster set.

Flagship Battle

I haven't heard anything about this, but looks like the card is for JP only. Hopefully, we could get one for the global players too.
