OP15 Green/Yellow (Shirahoshi) Deck Profile

Only a small update for this build just so we can use the Life gain cards and also constantly use Shirahoshi's effect. However, the main style is still the same where we want to play our Sea Kings for free, so we can have some decent attacks to swing at your opponents.

OP15 Shirahoshi

How it Works?

As you know, we want to flip Life cards to play Sea Kings for free, but at the same time, we want to get rid of those face up Life cards, so we can constantly use Shirahoshi's effect. Once the field is full, we can then make use of the DONs to power up our Characters to hit for more power. Your opponent will want to try and attack your Characters, so you won't be able to use the Leader's effect, but that shouldn't matter too much for this build.

Life Gain

As for the Life gain cards, I have increased the numbers in the build, so you can gain new Life cards, and you won't need to worry too much about face up Life cards. EB03 Shirahoshi is different compare to our other Life gain cards as this one, we can choose when to activate the effect. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, all of your Sea King Characters gains 1k power for the turn. We can also power up the Sea Kings, so you might not want to use this effect early if you don't have enough Sea Kings.

OP15 Zoro is pretty good but we need to discard a card and for this build, discarding will hurt. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand to add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. At least, Zoro is a 6k beat stick and we could replace him with a Sea King card if needed.

EB04 Kizaru is not really effective in this build which is why I am not running 4. Firstly, we start with 5 Life cards, so your opponent will need to hit your Leader 3 times in order to get down to 2. If we have a face up Life card, your opponent won't be swinging into your Leader, and would target your Characters instead, making Kizaru less likely to be played and use the effect. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.

Sea Kings

The Sea Kings are the same as last time, and 4 of them is enough for the build. Spotted is a 4 cost searcher which can be played for free with Shirahoshi's effect if we've got 4 DONs. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Sea King card or Shirahoshi and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

EB04 Bird is a nice 7k beat stick we can swing, but combine with DONs, we could hit for more power. Bird has 2 effects, the first effect works activate main, untap 1 DON. Then, you cannot untap DON cards with Character effects during this turn. The 1 DON will negate your Leader's effect if you used your Leader's effect to play Bird, or you can use this effect, so you can play another Sea King to the field with the Leader's effect. The second effect works when attacking, if you have 3 or more Sea Kings, rest 1 of your opponent's 8 cost or less Characters. Resting will be useful against some cards.

Topknot is 1 of our main card because this will help our Leader's effect, so we don't have the drawback, and your opponents won't be avoiding hitting the Leader. The effect is an activate main effect, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to untap this Character at the end of this turn. We can also swing with Topknot, knowing we have a Blocker active at the end of our turn.

EB04 Scaled works very well with Bird as we have a Rush Character keyword, where this card can attack as soon as it hits the field, if your opponent has rested Characters. The effect works on play, draw a card for each Sea King Characters. Then, trash the same number from your hand. The more Sea Kings you play, the more you draw, but at the same time we will be also trashing the same number.

Draw

The draw of the deck, not a lot, but still helpful in getting the cards we need, and both cards will help the Leader's effect. Otohime is another card that can flip your Life cards face down, so you won't have to worry about your opponents not hitting your Leader. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to draw 1 card.

EB01 Flampe is different, instead of flipping our Life cards, we will be taking Life cards away, which is what I needed since I am running Kizaru in the build who only works with low health. The effect works on play, you may add the top or bottom card of your Life area to your hand to draw 1 card. Technically, we will be getting 2 cards into our hand which is not bad.

Prevention

These cards can help at stopping your opponents from doing stuff. OP12 Shirahoshi is a card that can protect most of your Characters, but not the high cost. Shirahoshi has 2 effects, The first part of the effect is that if a base cost of 6 Character would be removed by your opponent's effects, you can turn 1 card from top of your Life area face up instead. The only downside is that we won't be able to use our Leader's effect, so we need to rely on our other cards to get rid of the face up Life card. The second effect works during your opponent's turn, if you have no other Shirahoshi with a base cost of 2, all of your Sea Kings gains 2k power. It won't matter if you have other Shirahoshi on the field, as long as that Shirahoshi is not a 2 drop, we can make this effect active, powering up the Sea Kings.

I'll Go All Out is very good in this build as we can stop your opponent's attacks, since this build actually has a lot of untap DONs when you have a full field. The main effect is you may rest 2 DONs, 2 of your opponent's rested 7 cost or less Characters cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Electrical Luna is mainly use against your opponent's field so we can prevent as much attacks as possible. The effect is all of your opponent's rested 7 cost or less Characters cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. If your opponent only has 1 or 2 on the field, then, we can use I'll Go All Out to stop those Characters, but if it's 3 or more, then Electrical Luna will be useful. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's Characters.

Removal

I am running 2 removals in this build to try and get rid of your opponent's Characters. It was the 1 thing this deck was lacking in the previous build. EB04 Megalo is a card we can play for free with the Leader's effect and not just the Sea Kings. The effect works on play, you may rest this Character to KO 1 of your opponent's rested 8k power or less Characters. 8k power or less gives you a lot of choices to choose from.

Another card that also targets rested Character is ST16 Shanks, and Shanks being 9 drop means we can use the Leader's effect to play a Sea King Character if we need to fill the field. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's rested Characters. What I do like about Shanks is that we can target any Characters we wanted as long as they are rested, so you might want to save this for beat sticks that we can't stop in this deck.

The Supports

The rest of the support is simple as we've got Shirahoshi and Hody which Shirahoshi cannot search. The effect is an activate main effect, you may rest 1 of your DONs and this Character to look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Sea King or Fishman Island card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Hody is only a Fishman type and not Fishman Island.

However, Hody is another card that can be useful with the Leader's effect and also trigger Kizaru's effect. The effect works on play effect, rest a total of 2 Characters or DONs. Then, add the top card of your Life area to your hand. Usually, this is a drawback when we add cards from our Life area to hand, but for this deck, it's actually useful, plus, we also have Rush for sneak attacks.
